Our Story

From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for sweet treats. Baking was a way for me to express myself creatively and show those around me how much I care for them. To this day, when someone tries something I’ve baked, all I want to see is that great big smile and a moment of pure happiness. Being raised by my grandmother meant I got to grow up with an endless supply of homemade sweets. We were always in the kitchen baking cookies, cakes, and pies, never forgetting to lick the frosting off the spoon. Baking with her is where I found my passion, purpose, and my sweet tooth. 

 
It was at the Oregon Coast culinary institute where grew from home baker to pastry chef. After college, I got to gain experience at the hauntingly famous Orcas Island Hotel, cater to countless celebrities, create elegant custom desserts for high-end country clubs, and build a pastry department from the ground up for a multi-restaurant establishment. On my journey through the industry, no one could ever pronounce my name. With such unforgettable pastries, my name had to be too. Luckily for me, one clever little nickname stuck and became who I am today, Lala. 

As a pastry chef in the heart of Bradenton, Florida, I’m dedicated to serving Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and the state of Florida at large. If you’re looking to satisfy that sweet tooth, I’m all for it!
